Our family felt like we were drowning in the grief. The centre gently and compassionately helped us see that grief is a natural process & that we could live real

full life again.

Grieving Families Services

Support Groups
for all ages

At the BriarPatch Centre for Grieving Families, we offer a variety of support groups to meet different needs. Baby Loss, Child Loss, General Grief & Expressive Arts for Children & Teens. Our groups cover deaths that occur due to accident, suicide, murder, unknown reasons & natural causes. Groups run throughout the year & are accessible in both locations.

Individual & family is an integral & important part of the programming at the Centre. While not all grieving families will need a support group, not all will need counseling but both are offered to all. We recognize that grief is a natural process & our counseling is a model of compassionate listening & varied educational materials provided for participants to strategize their own natural, unique healing journey.

Individual & Family Counseling
